Photo - Moores Building

The Moores Building was the site of William Dalgety Moore's general merchant business in the late nineteenth century and gained its current facade at the height of the Western gold rush in 1899. In 1986 and 1993 the building was conserved to current condition with support of a Commonwealth Government America’s Cup Grant by the City of Fremantle. Since 1994, this fine heritage building operated as a successful exhibition venue.

From February 2008, the Moores Building Contemporary Art Gallery will incorporate a new café experience, with the introduction of the More & More café within the building and courtyard. Open from 7.30am to 4pm daily. Visitors to the café will be able to relax and enjoy the Moore’s special atmosphere.
