Disability Access
The City has developed a Disability Service Plan. A Project Coordinator is working on ways to ensure that people who have a disability are still able to fully participate in community life in Fremantle. A Disability Access Consulting Committee has been formed to provide strategic advice to the City of Fremantle to ensure that all facilities, services, programs, information and processes within the Fremantle area are accessible for people with disabilities. A mobility map describing access to major attractions and facilities is also being developed. If you have any problems accessing council services or would like to know more about this project or to join the committee, telephone: 9432 9923.

The City also runs a program called Fremantle Connections. This program enables people with disabilities to access social and recreational activities of their choice while providing much needed respite for carers. The service is primarily for socially isolated indviduals. To find out more telephone: 9432 9520.
