Heritage Loan Scheme - Round 3 - (Applications close 3 September 2004)

The Western Australian Local Government Association, in conjunction with the Heritage Council of WA and StateWest Credit Society, launched the Heritage Loan Scheme on 7 July 2003, and applications for loans to undertake conservation works were invited from eligible owners of listed heritage places.

The City of Fremantle has contributed to this scheme and, if you are the owner of a heritage place within the City of Fremantle, you will be eligible to make an application if that heritage place is listed in one of the following:

· State Register of Heritage Places
· Federal Register of the National Estate
· National Trust of Australia (WA) Classified List
· Municipal Inventory of Heritage Places.

If you are unsure whether your property is heritage listed, please contact Jodie Carroll at the City of Fremantle on 9432 9877, or e-mail jodiec@fremantle.wa.gov.au.

A copy of a brochure explaining the scheme, together with a copy of an application form and flyer detailing current interest rates applicable, is enclosed should you be interested in applying for a loan. Please note that the closing date for the first round of applications under this Scheme is Friday, 3 September 2004, at 4.00 pm.

If you have any queries or require any assistance regarding the Heritage Loan Scheme, please do not hesitate to telephone the Administration Officer, Jenni Williams, on 9220 4117 or 9213 2071.
