Zing into spring… make a start with Senior Smart

15 Oct 2007
SENIOR Smart, a highly-effective and life-changing ageing and motivation program, comes to The Meeting Place in South Fremantle from October 22.

Based on a similar formula to the award-winning Living Smart program, Senior Smart incorporates proven strategies that help to motivate older adults in achieving and sustaining their health and well-being goals.

The program includes workshops on memory-gain and inexpensive natural super foods, highlighting important information that can help benefit mind, body and spirit.

More than 98 per cent of participants in programs from the past three years have rated Senior Smart as extremely valuable in helping them achieve their goals.

“The enthusiasm within the group is contagious,” one participant reported. “There’s always smiles and laughter in the group.”

Another noted: “It definitely changed my life in a brilliant way.”

Murdoch University researcher Jason Fox says the results from the Senior Smart programs have been “absolutely inspiring”.

“Seniors have moved beyond merely wishing to be healthier and they’re achieving goals they once thought impossible,” he said.

Associate Professor Peter Dingle adds: “This is such a great program; every senior should be doing this.”

The Senior Smart program runs 1.30pm to 4pm on Mondays for five weeks from October 22 and is for people over 50.

The Meeting Place is located at 245 South Terrace, South Fremantle. Places are limited – call 9335 3394 to register.
