Yeah baby! Library's rhyme time fun: birth of new weekly program
16 Apr 2008
FREMANTLE City Library's Baby Rhyme Time has been cancelled for April 30 but comes back brighter and better as a weekly program from Wednesday, May 14, at the new time of 9.30am.
Previously running fortnightly, Baby Rhyme Time started in early 2007, providing 30-minute sessions of rhymes and songs for parents to share with young babies up to 24 months old.
“Along with reading and talking to babies, rhymes and songs are a great way of interacting with young children and provide rich language experiences for them, Young People’s Services Librarian Linda Thorne said.
“Baby Rhyme Time can also serve as a refresher course in nursery rhymes for parents who haven’t sung children’s rhymes and songs since their own childhood.
“Most importantly, it’s a free service and a whole lot of fun with no bookings necessary.”
