Squads
The Fremantle Swim Squads have been training at the Fremantle Leisure Centre since September 1994. In that time the programme has produced several top eight Australian ranked swimmers including current Olympian Lara Carroll.
The Squad program caters for both social and competitive swimmers, coached by Australian Coach - Simon Redmond, the programme operates all year round and provides squad training opportunities to swimmers from 7 yrs of age and upwards.
The Junior squad programme introduces learn to swim graduates and new swimmers to the sport of competitive swimming and the fun and camaraderie that is shared by athletes as they train toward their individual and team goals. Adults can join in the fun of the morning Tri - squad programme.
Placement into a squad is based on an assessment to determine each individual’s ability.
