CHILDREN

Your child’s safety is our concern but your responsibility.

THE MEETING PLACE CRÈCHE

Crèche will be provided for some courses held at The Meeting Place during office hours. Please fill in your details on the enrolment forms. As crèche spaces are limited, you may be successfully enrolled in a course but there may not be an available place in the crèche. If this occurs you will be contacted so you can make alternative arrangements.

The First Day

We suggest that you come early on the first day of your course to spend some time settling your child into the crèche. This will help your child to feel more comfortable in the crèche environment and with the crèche workers.

What to Bring

Please supply a drink and a small piece of fruit for your child/ren and if the weather is hot please bring a hat and sunscreen. It would be helpful, if your child is in nappies, for you to change them before leaving them with crèche workers. (There is a change table in the toilets.) Please provide some spare nappies. You will need to take soiled nappies with you as we do not have disposal facilities at the centre.

LEAF

What if I don’t need my child’s crèche booking?

Please notify staff as soon as possible if your child will not be attending crèche.

What if my child is sick?

We are unable to take children who are sick. You're child will be returned to you if they become ill during care. Please also note that medication cannot be administered by crèche workers.

Insurance

Due to crèche insurance regulations, parents must remain on the premises while their children are in care. If you have to leave the building for class trips you need to take your child with you.

Children Accompanying Parents to Courses

It is not possible for parents to take their children into groups with them unless their children have also enrolled in the course. Crèche or alternative childcare arrangements must be made.

We hope you and your child enjoy The Meeting Place
