Tips and Tricks
| Searching for organisations |
| When searching in the Organisation Name Box, use part of the Organisation name rather than typing in the whole name. You can use an * to truncate your search. Ensure all spelling and word order is correct. For example: Fremantle Childrens Literature Centre NOT Fremantle Literature Centre
You can also BROWSE the list of terms by clicking on the Browse button |
| Subject searching |
You can type in the subject if you know what you are looking for. Subject is a specific list , not a free word search so you need to type in the exact phrase. A better method is to click on the Browse button so that you can search the contents of the Subject Field; Select the word wheel next to the subject box, type in the subject you are searching for. Select GO TO. Paste in this subject, select close. |
Keyword searching |
| Keyword searching is searching across a number of fields, name, subject, purpose or description. This is a free text search.
